Graphic Designer

We are looking for a part time Graphic Designer – maternity cover 32 hours a  week for our portfolio of wellness and health brands –who lives within 30 miles  circu Ansty Wiltshire but will mainly be remote working. As this is a maternity  cover we anticipate that it will be for at least a 6 month period to a maximum of  12 months.  

We are looking for a super talented packaging and graphic designer (perhaps some experience  as a product designer) with a great eye, a fabulous approach to product and an edge if  experienced in brochure. It’s a lot but we think the variety of our 4 companies and possibly 5  brands as a varied, never dull, not repetitious role will be a fantastic challenge for a design  enthusiast with a good pace for execution

The role 

This role will see the ideal candidate working across a portfolio of brands as the designated  in-house designer. The graphic designer will be responsible for the delivery of all graphic  design tasks from Digital Design, product packaging, New Product Development, digital  graphics, brand guidelines, print, possible some website work – and sales brochure / power  point production to help us sell our socks off. You will also be dealing with our social media,  blogs, photography and marketing & SEO. 

This exciting opportunity allows a multi-skilled designer, to work with key account holders  across the business to help bring fresh new ideas to the growing demand we have for design.  We sell to Hospitality, to sports stores, the Yoga studio’s, we design Airline Crew baggage  and also work in events sporting partnerships, selling customised goods such as Yoga Mats  and KitBrix. Custom projects.  

About you: 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented creative with experience working as a graphic  designer in the consumer industry. You must have a keen interest in sport and health and  wellbeing. You will be multi-skilled and have experience in product packaging, as well as digital  design. You will have an ability to react to a brief, give options and work fast.  

You will be quick-thinking, creative and have good attention to detail. You will have a keen  interest in consumer products and have a good knowledge of the Wellbeing and perhaps  sporting / active lifestyle in outlook. Often our products appeal to 24-35year olds but of  course each brand has it’s own developing persona. Additionally, sometimes we have to follow  someone else’s brand guidelines so you need to be able to pay high level of attention to detail.  

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, who isn’t afraid of bringing new ideas speaking  out. We also expect you to have a eco conscious frame of mind where sometimes less is  more, where we consider packaging materials and all the touch points of the products to  reduce planet damage. 

Key skills include  

  • Sound Knowledge in Adobe CC Packages including Illustrator, Photoshop and  InDesign. 
  • Ability to work across multiple accounts across the portfolio 
  • A degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Design 
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a graphic designer 
  • Previous experience in packaging design from inception to print  
  • Excellent Communication skills 
  • Ability to manage their own time  
  • Comfortable with remote working 
  • PowerPoint experience would be a bonus 
  • Pro-active can-do attitude 
  • Ability to work with photos and digitally work with them 
  • Deadline driven

We understand we may have to support you with Adobe Creative Cloud – but we would  also like to know what else you might need. If you have any extra skills such as the ability to  do solid basic photo production of products or have ever had any experience producing video  content. Do not be a wallflower.
